Mortgage Administrator, Funding Specialist

This position offers an exciting opportunity to build your career within Manulife Bank’s Residential Secured Lending space as part of the Mortgage Funding and Broker Support team. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience managing and administering residential mortgages from inception through activation, developing a strong understanding of the end‑to‑end mortgage funding lifecycle. You will have the opportunity to review legal mortgage documentation, funding processes, and operational controls, while collaborating closely with internal partners, broker channels and legal partners.

This role is well suited for someone looking to grow their knowledge of mortgage operations, strengthen their problem‑solving and teamwork skills, and establish a strong foundation for future career opportunities within Manulife Bank’s lending and operations teams all within a supportive, fast‑paced learning, and growing environment.

Please note that while this is a remote position, candidates based specifically in the Waterloo region are required to attend the office once per week to complete in‑person document signing.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Set up and administer new mortgage business and process the related financial transactions.

  • Address routine queries from internal and external customers.

  • Maintain control of all security/property documents.

  • Ensure accuracy in preparing and processing all mortgage-related transactions.

  • Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve departmental goals.

  • Assist with post funding execution of legal amendments required for the land title office

Required Qualifications:

  • General knowledge of residential mortgage business and mortgage underwriting practices.

  • Proficiency in MS Office programs, such as Word and Excel.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.

  • Proven organizational and time management skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

  • Previous banking experience is an asset.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in real estate law and mortgage-related provincial legislation.

  • Oral and written French language skills are an asset.

  • Ability to work overtime during peak times.

Salary range is expected to be between

$42,525.00 CAD - $70,875.00 CAD
