Description
The Corporate Strategy team at Manulife partners with the Board, CEO, and senior leadership to define and advance the company’s long-term vision and strategic ambitions. We operate across segments, business units, functions, and geographies to shape enterprise priorities and enable sustainable growth.
Our mandate spans strategy development, strategic planning, portfolio optimization, and cross-functional alignment. We lead high-impact initiatives that inform executive decision-making and position Manulife to win in an evolving global landscape.
Your Role:
As a Manager, you will support the development and execution of Manulife’s corporate and business strategies. You will collaborate across segment and functional teams to analyze business challenges, identify opportunities, and help translate strategic priorities into actionable plans. You will also play a key role in coordinating the annual strategic planning process and preparing materials for executive discussions. This role will report to the team’s AVPs or Directors.
Primary Responsibilities:
Support the annual strategic planning process, including gathering inputs, analyzing trends, and preparing presentations for senior leadership.
Conduct market research, competitive benchmarking, and financial analysis to inform strategic decisions.
Assist in designing and managing enterprise and segment-level strategic initiatives.
Prepare executive-ready materials, including storyboards, presentations, and briefing documents.
Collaborate with business segments and functions to ensure alignment between corporate and business unit strategies.
Core Competencies:
Analytical Thinking and Problem Solving: Very comfortable with quantitative financial analysis with the ability to synthesize data and provide actionable insights.
Communication: Strong written and verbal skills for creating clear, compelling materials.
Collaboration: Skilled at working across teams and building strong relationships.
Execution: Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outputs on time.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in corporate/business strategy, transformation, management consulting profile; preferably in the financial services sector, and/or top-tier management consulting firm
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or related field; MBA preferred.

Salary range is expected to be between
$86,250.00 CAD - $155,250.00 CADIf you are applying for this role outside of the primary location, please contact recruitment@manulife.com for the salary range for your location. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
