This is a groundbreaking opportunity to work on pioneering projects that generate significant business value for our organization. You'll collaborate closely with a variety of teams, including stakeholders in the Insurance and Investment segments, Technology partners, Data Office, Operations, Sales, and Distribution, to successfully implement world-class analytics solutions!

Position Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement highly scalable, distributed machine learning pipelines in collaboration with data and platform teams.
  • Design, implement, and operate AI runtimes and services leveraging event‑driven and distributed systems patterns.
  • Optimize, deploy, and monitor ML models and AI services in production‑grade, large‑scale environments.
  • Build and maintain data science and ML platform infrastructure using Azure cloud services.
  • Develop Generative AI applications, including Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) systems and fine‑tuned Large Language Models (LLMs), designed for global reuse and scalability.
  • Define and enforce platform standards, patterns, and best practices for AI service development and deployment.
  • Collaborate with multi‑functional teams to integrate AI solutions into enterprise systems and workflows.
  • Document platform architecture, ML system designs, runtime patterns, and deployment workflows in a clear, comprehensive manner.
  • Develop automation tools and scripts to enable self‑service deployment, scaling, and lifecycle management of AI systems in the cloud.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in ML engineering, platform engineering, distributed systems, DevOps, or data science roles.
  • 3+ years of hands‑on experience with Azure / cloud technologies (e.g., Databricks, MLflow, AKS, Web App Service).
  • Strong Java programming skills and advanced SQL knowledge.
  • Experience deploying models or AI services as REST or event‑driven APIs.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud‑native infrastructure.
  • Experience with Python
  • Working knowledge of LLMs (GPT‑based models, BERT, Llama) and prompt / inference engineering.
  • Experience with DevOps and platform engineering practices, including Git and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ability to design and deliver pragmatic, production‑ready solutions under tight timelines.
  • Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience building internal platforms or developer enablement systems used by multiple teams.
  • Experience in the insurance or financial services industry

Salary range is expected to be between

$94,430.00 CAD - $144,430.00 CAD
