Graduate Recruitment Opportunities (GRO) - Investment Analyst

Position Responsibilities:

  • Credit Analysis: The candidate will conduct credit analysis supporting the lending officers in in the periodic evaluations of our borrowers and their ability to repay our loans on time.

  • ESG Analysis: The candidate will support team members in their assessment of the Environmental, Social and Governance profile of our borrowers, including the carbon intensity of our borrowers and what they are doing to reduce their carbon footprint over time.

  • Borrower Screening: Thecandidate will assist in identifying and screening potential new borrowers to support lending officer business development outreach.

  • Special Projects: The candidate may be assigned to work on research projects including broader analyses of industry trends, performance of the portfolio, or modeling of investment performance under various macroeconomic conditions.

  • Ad hoc: The candidate will also support team members with any other ad-hoc assignments.

Required Qualifications:

  • A university graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in business, accounting, economics or a social sciences or hard sciences / mathematics field.

  • A solid conceptual understanding of, and interest in business/economics, with quantitative analysis skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate qualitative concepts and support quantitative data and metrics to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Experience with financial statement analysis is helpful but not required - we can teach you that.

  • Adept at using computer applications, including the Microsoft Office suite.

  • Good attention to detail

Salary range is expected to be between

$75,000.00 CAD - $120,000.00 CAD
