Director, Global Technology Strategy

Join our Global Technology Strategy team!

As a leader within the Strategy team, you will drive and contribute to strategy and transformation efforts through collaboration, transparency, accountability, and innovative thinking.

You will be developing high impact strategies in partnership with executive leadership teams.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive technology strategy that supports Manulife's business goals and enhances our strong position.

  • Lead the identification and evaluation of new technologies that can drive innovation and business transformation.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align technology initiatives with business priorities and objectives.

  • Lead all aspects of the creation and execution of technology roadmaps, ensuring they are aligned with strategic goals.

  • Foster a culture of innovation by promoting the adoption of new technologies and practices throughout the company.

  • Manage relationships with key technology vendors and partners to harness external expertise and resources and maturing internal capabilities.

  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver strategic technology initiatives on time and within budget.

  • Analyze industry trends to ensure Manulife remains at the forefront of technology advancements.

  • Provide thought leadership and mentorship on digital transformation initiatives and technology investments.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in a senior technology strategy role, preferably within the financial services industry.

  • Strong leadership to drive technology adoption including AI, machine learning, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.

  • Ability to develop and implement strategic technology plans.

  • Excellent leadership and team management expertise, demonstrating the capacity to influence and inspire change across the organization.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence partners at all levels.

Salary range is expected to be between

$145,130.00 CAD - $195,130.00 CAD
