Position Responsibilities:
Manage the demanding schedule of the GCS role in control assessment engagements, and act as the primary interface and manager for the GCS portion of the engagements
Review, negotiate and unify related and / or common engagements to streamline efficiencies
Maintain a calendar view of engagements, their status, teams involved, and level of effort
Offer a strong risk perspective for engagements, addressing scoping, methods, and conclusions
Evaluate draft engagement issues to ensure identified gaps are valid, accurate, and documented as such
Identify problems and inefficiencies through review of control design / data analysis and propose solutions for resolution or optimization
Review the adequacy of risk management and internal controls, identify issues, and develop remediation actions.
Provides overall support in the end-to-end process of GCS risk driven engagements
Streamline engagement processes to ensure maximum efficency
Building and maintaining long-term relationships internal GCS teams and risk partners
Collaborating and engage with key internal stakeholders to facilitate engagement delivery
Required Qualifications:
6+ year’s experience working in a client-facing, matrix, project-based organization, gained through prior audit, advisory, consulting, professional services firm, or other large organizations.
Knowledge of audit methodologies, control frameworks and risk management practices
Results oriented with a focus on quality, delivering value, and strong attention to detail
Ability to balance priorities and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in an computer engineering role Diligent in maintaining project plans, adhering to timelines, escalating issues appropriately, and documenting outcomes for reporting to senior stakeholders.
Ability to quickly understand business processes and their risk implications, analyze complex situations, reach appropriate conclusions, and make value-added and practical recommendations

Salary range is expected to be between
$110,530.00 CAD - $205,270.00 CADIf you are applying for this role outside of the primary location, please contact recruitment@manulife.com for the salary range for your location. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
