Corporate Travel Operations Manager

The Corporate Travel Manager leads the execution and optimization of the organization’s global travel program, ensuring efficient, compliant, and cost‑effective travel operations. Working very closely with the Director of Global Travel, this role manages travel suppliers and partners, booking technologies, policy governance, duty of care, and traveler experience while driving continuous process and cost improvements. In collaboration with Procurement, Finance, HR, Risk, and business stakeholders, the Corporate Travel Manager supports strategic initiatives, enables technology adoption, and ensures consistent delivery of a high‑quality, end‑to‑end travel experience across regions.

Position Responsibilities:

Travel Program Management
  • Manage daily operations of the corporate travel program to ensure consistent service delivery. Support employees & EAs business trips with suppliers where needed.
  • Administer travel policies, guidelines, and approval of workflows.
  • Act as the subject-matter expert on travel processes, tools, and suppliers.
Traveler Support & Consulting
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex traveler issues and exception requests.
  • Provide consultative support on travel options, policy interpretation, and best practices.
  • Partner with Security and Risk teams to support duty of care.
  • Partner with expense and M&E team for travel support
  • Manage SOPs and control artifacts in travel ops.
Supplier, TMC Management & BU partnerships
  • Manage the relationship with the Travel Management Company (TMC).
  • Monitor service delivery and supplier performance.
  • Conduct regular reviews and manage issue resolution.
  • Provide support during Hotel & Airline RFP processes.
  • Working partnership with Sourcing, Procurement, Legal, and Finance

Cost Control & Program Optimization along with Director of Global Travel.
  • Monitor travel, booking behavior, and compliance.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and leakage reduction actions.
Data, Reporting & Insights
  • Produce and analyze travel spending and compliance reports.
  • Provide insights to stakeholders based on data trends to support Monthly management reporting and overall review of the program.
  • Maintain dashboards and scorecards.
Technology & Tools along with Director of Global Travel.
  • Assist with system enhancements, testing, and training.
  • Support change management for new tools or policies.
Compliance & Risk Support
  • Ensure adherence to travel policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Responsibility for policy governance lifecycle (review cadence, exception patterns, updates).
  • Support crisis response and travel tracking processes.
  • Accountability for control effectiveness (e.g., approval workflows, audit support beyond “assist” (Assist with audits and internal reviews)
Other responsibilities as assigned but not limited.
  • Perform other duties and support related initiatives as assigned, consistent with the scope and objectives of the role
  • Day to Day operations of travel operations and supporting various projects.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 6-8 years of experience in Airline & Travel Distribution and industry.
  • Strong understanding of travel operations and supplier programs.
  • IATA Certifications or equivalent required. (travel and airline experience)
  • Experience with travel booking tools and reporting platforms.

Salary range is expected to be between

$92,900.00 CAD - $142,900.00 CAD

Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
