What we offer:Job Responsibilities:
The Simeon Park Attendant Team Lead, part of Magna International Inc., is responsible for overseeing the preparation and execution of daily operational procedures performed by Lifeguards and Park Attendants. Team Leads also perform Park Attendant duties, including maintaining park grounds and facilities and supporting guest services for park events and recreation programs. This position reports directly to the Operations Coordinator.
Major ResponsibilitiesPark & Facility MaintenanceComplete and review operational, health and safety, and maintenance checklists.
Prepare and execute daily task plans for team meetings and provide regular updates to Team Leads and Supervisors.
Mentor and develop team members by monitoring performance and providing constructive feedback.
Oversee and perform park maintenance.
Ensure the pool facility is clean and properly maintained.
Ensure indoor facilities are clean and maintained.
Ensure lawn maintenance is completed.
Ensure groundskeeping tasks are completed as scheduled (trail maintenance, sports facility upkeep, garbage collection).
Operate machinery as needed.
Ensure outdoor equipment is cleaned, moved, and assembled as required (e.g., tents, barbecues, picnic tables, sports field equipment).
Perform general labour, including some heavy lifting.
Provide gatehouse services.
Provide parking services.
Officiate recreation programs (e.g., soccer and slo‑pitch).
Perform additional guest services as required.
Must be enrolled in a college or university program.
Must be available to work weekends and holidays in the summer until Labour Day.
High school diploma.
Valid G or G2 driver’s licence (required).
Soccer referee certification (training provided).
The Park Attendant Team Lead role involves working primarily outdoors, in various weather conditions. This role includes walking, lifting, and completing maintenance tasks throughout the park grounds.
CompensationThis position offers an hourly wage of $21.50.
