QUALIFICATIONS:
- Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Occupational Health Nursing certification (COHN(C)) is an asset.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in occupational health, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of WSIB processes, OHSA, and medical accommodation practices.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and case management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and travel between plant locations as needed.
KEY COMPETENCIES:
- Ability to assess health conditions and determine appropriate interventions quickly and effectively.
- Skilled in managing complex injury and illness cases, including WSIB coordination and RTW planning.
- Strong understanding of OHSA, WSIB, Human Rights Code, and occupational health standards.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work with employees, HR, HSE, and external healthcare providers.
- Maintains high standards of privacy and professionalism in handling sensitive health information.
- Ability to identify health trends, assess risks, and contribute to data-driven decision-making.
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Passion for educating and empowering employees to take charge of their health and well-being.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:

- Ability to work flexible hours as required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
- Combination of office, medical clinic, and production floor environments.
- Frequent walking, standing, and movement between departments.
- Occasional bending, reaching, and lifting of light medical equipment (up to 25 lbs).
- Periods of computer work requiring visual focus and sitting.
- Exposure to industrial noise and temperature variations when on the production floor (PPE provided).
- Flexibility in working hours may be required to support multiple shifts or respond to incidents.
- Occasional travel between plant locations.
This position will require a certain amount of training both in-house and off-site. The person who accepts the position will be expected to follow a learning curve with continuous development.
