About the Role

This position will be to maintain vision systems to required standards and be responsive to line calls and equipment failures.

Your Responsibilities

• Contribute to continuous improvement and cost reduction activities.
• Maintain and certify Perceptron/QMC/FMS units and ensure operating within specification.
• Maintain systems so they are compliant with internal and external audits (BIQS, TS.. etc.)
• Perform the required body in white and static and dynamic tests
• Support all special projects (i.e. SMR’s, Prototype).
• Provide support to CMM Technicians to resolve dimensional related issues.
• Provide support to all departments to resolve dimensional related issues.
• Complete all scheduled preventative maintenance
• Perform all applicable repairs to existing and future equipment.
• Oversee measurement system installations.
• Participate in measurement system equipment buy offs.
• Research and obtain quotes for new, replacement parts and spares.
• Verify and ensure proper stock and quantities are setup to support equipment.
• Work with CMM group to ensure accuracy of gauges through correlations and Gauge repeatability studies.
• Facilitate training when required.
• Perform other duties as designated

Who we are looking for

• Ontario Certificate of Qualification in the field of Electrical, Tool and Die or Millwright with 3 years’ experience
• Experience maintaining and configuring perceptron/QMC/FMS etc. units
• Able to read and interpret GD&T, CMM, Engineering drawings, and lineside measurement systems (Bluewrist, Perceptron etc.)
• Effective at investigating root causes for quality issues and implementing corrective actions
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and or Solidworks is an asset
• Working knowledge of safety standards of equipment
• Able to work independently, without supervision
• Able to work to deadlines and support multiple demands
• Able to uphold confidentiality
• Able to work in locations inside and outside of the Modatek facility and support overtime to meet customer requirements
• Must be able to travel outside of Canada
