QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently enrolled in a Degree / Diploma program in Mechanical Techniques or Industrial Maintenance
• Strong interest of service maintenance and mechanical and electrical systems
• Able to read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical processes
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete situations related to mechanical/maintenance issues
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form

DESIRABLE ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

(Optional) - Preferred but not required

• Tier 1 automotive manufacturing experience

MAIN TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Find root cause of down time contributors, bring forward solutions and implement with team
• Understand process documentation and customer specific requirements, as they relate to the job function
• Work with team to develop machine upgrades and reduce cycle time
• Share lessons learned with team and apply to new work cells
• Works in a safe manner and is familiar with Mytox’s policies and procedures
• Forward thinking with predictive maintenance plan
• Responsible for maintenance of presses, rolling mills, moulding machines and other production equipment
• Ensure our critical spare inventory with assigned equipment is in stock
• Work together with other departments to resolve issues as they arise
• Responsible for repairs and lubrication of machines and other equipment
• Dismantles machines and moves machinery and equipment as required
• Assembles and installs equipment such as drive shafts, conveyors, etc.
• Assembles machines, bolts, welds, rivets or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures
• Operates tool room equipment
• Welds and fabricates required items
• Must be able to work overtime when required and willing to help out, when necessary, as per customer demands
• Must be organized and clean up the area and equipment at the end of job duties.
• Must be able to communicate issues/problems to team leader, supervisor or manager
• Actively participates in continuous improvement
• Good English (both written and verbal) communication skills
• Good Mathematical skills
• Ability to compute ratio and percent
• Knowledge of WHMIS
• Good organizational skills, ability to work well with and without supervision

Wages: Starting at $23.69 per hour
