POSITION SUMMARY:
The ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) Analyst is responsible for all activities related to the research, analysis, implementation, development, support and troubleshooting of all manufacturing software, primarily Epicor CMS and EDI Trusted Link. The ERP Analyst evaluates existing and proposed systems, focusing on continuous improvement for all shop floor data systems, hardware and software.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
1. Equivalent to completion of University, Community College or specialized courses up to 2 academic years
2. 3-4 years Epicor CMS experience in information systems capacity, preferably in a manufacturing environment
3. 3-4 years IBM System i system administration and DB2 experience
4. A background in RPG programming would be considered an asset
5. A solid understanding of manufacturing processes, preferably in the automotive industry
6. A proven background in successful project management
7. Familiarity with manufacturing software (i.e. MRP, ERP, EDI) and its many different network components
8. Strong working knowledge of automotive EDI, particularly as it pertains to GM, Chrysler, and Ford
9. Ability to work closely and communicate with all groups within the company as well as with vendors and suppliers
DUTIES:
1. Manage the research, analysis, implementation, support, and troubleshooting of all manufacturing software including Production, Logistics, Materials Management, Shipping/Receiving, Scheduling, EDI, Finance, Purchasing, Maintenance, etc.
2. Assist with the on-going maintenance and support of all manufacturing systems’ hardware.
3. Manage the design, installation and support of all shop floor data collection, product tracking and systems integration including radio frequency and bar-coding technologies.
4. Evaluate and installs patches, and resolves server software related problems.
5. Participate in Disaster Recovery Plan for application systems.
6. Remotely manage applications and systems within the plant within ERP and microsoft.
7. Assist in the management of system backups and recoveries.
8. Advise users on system configuration, provide training, troubleshoot issues.
9. Perform regular system maintenance.
10. Perform user audits.
11. Manage IBM I user security.
12. Manage CMS users access.
13. Manage and troubleshoot all aspects of EDI.
14. Manage and troubleshoot all aspects for CMS including production manager.
15. Manage/design customer and supplier labels.
16. Analyze business practices and develop solutions to problems.
17. Works with users and/or customers to validate requirements and executes thorough functional test plans to ensure that ERP system changes are working properly, existing processes remain uneffected and the needs of the users are met.
18. Provides new and innovative alternative solutions to ERP system and application challenges.
19. Analyze complex business requirements and map business processes.
20. Develop wireframe and schematic diagrams to support customer requirements gathering and facilitate overall business process discovery.
21. Work closely with employees at all levels to determine the requirements of their departments and the organization, ensuring that all project plans are adhered to.

23. Closes service desk tickets and PM tasks on time.
24. Ability to lead a 3L5Y task group.
25. Focus on continuous development and improvement for all plant systems, hardware, and software.
26. Follows and complies with all operational procedures/policies as stated in the Employee Handbook, Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety programs (e.g., TS16949, ISO14001, ISO 45001, IATF).
27. Follows and adheres to the requirements of IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 as required.
Perform all duties in a safe manner in accordance with Section 28 of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations for Industrial Establishments-Duties of Workers.
28. (1) A worker shall,
(a) work in compliance with the provisions of this Act and the regulations;
(b) use or wear the equipment, protective devices or clothing that the worker’s employer requires to be used or worn;
(c) report to his or her employer or supervisor the absence of or defect in any equipment or protective device of which the worker is aware and which may endanger himself, herself or another worker; and
(d) report to his or her employer or supervisor any contravention of this Act or the regulations or the existence of any hazard of which he or she knows.
(2) No worker shall,
(a) remove or make ineffective any protective device required by the regulations or by his or her employer, without providing an adequate temporary protective device and when the need for removing or making ineffective the protective device has ceased, the protective device shall be replaced immediately;
(b) use or operate any equipment, machine, device or thing or work in a manner that may endanger himself, herself or any other worker; or
(c) engage in any prank, contest, feat of strength, unnecessary running or rough and boisterous conduct.
28. Follow and adhere to requirements of current customer quality and environmental management systems standards.
29. Abide by all plant health, safety and environmental rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
30. Ability to lead a cross functional team.
31. Willingly takes the lead on projects.
32. Performs other related duties as required.
