Coordinator - Behavioural Support Ontario

To provide clinical and administrative supervision to the BSO Team in the Behavioural Supports Ontario (BSO) Program, comprised of RNs, RPNs, PSWs and Program Consultants. The BSO provides clinical assessments and interventions for older adults with complex and responsive behaviours associated with dementia, mental health, substance use and/or other neurological conditions. The initiative also provides enhanced family caregiver support in the community, in long-term care or wherever the patient and/or caregiver(s) reside.

What must you have?

  • Registered as a Behaviour Analyst with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO).

  • Undergraduate degree in Psychology and related experience or equivalent.

What else do you have?

  • Current clinical experience and knowledge of Applied Behaviour Analysis as it applies to the areas of older adults living with dementia, mental health, substance use and/or other neurological conditions.

  • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience in developing curriculum, providing public education and mediator and staff training.

  • Well developed interpersonal skills, conflict resolution skills and leadership abilities.

  • Computer literacy in a Windows environment utilizing Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

  • Proven attendance record.

  • Demonstrates understanding and complies with patient and staff safety policies and procedures that foster a safe and inclusive environment for all.

  • Ability to perform the essential duties of the job.

  • Effectively uses empathy in interactions with others and demonstrates behaviours consistent with Mackenzie Health’s Commitment to Caring.

Preferably, your profile also includes:

  • Experience in statistical analysis an asset.
