Temporary Summer Custodians
The LDCSB is seeking self-motivated individuals with excellent interpersonal skills to join our team as a Temporary Summer Custodian.The ideal candidates are reliable, detail oriented team players who can also work independently as required. They follow instructions well and demonstrate effective communication skills and proficiency in written and oral English. Experience with custodial products, equipment, and cleaning methods is an asset but not required. Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, climbing ladders, operating equipment, lifting and moving furniture and supplies. Reliable transportation and CSA-approved safety footwear are required.
This position is to provide temporary coverage for existing positions within the organization and is subject to the availability of work, in accordance with operational needs.
Locations:
Successful candidates may be assigned to any of our school sites in London, Middlesex, and Oxford counties.
Work Hours:
Hours will be scheduled between 6:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, including weekends.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 17 years old by June 29, 2026
- Reliable transportation is essential
- Previous related work or volunteer experience is preferred
Orientation:
All successful candidates must attend a paid orientation on Friday, June 26, 2026.

There is potential for continued employment throughout the school year, with evening and/or weekend shifts available.

Salary: $24.44/hour + 4% vacation
