The London District Catholic School Board is currently accepting applications for:

Position: Adult & Continuing Education Teacher - Senior Mathematics - MCV4U (Calculus and Vectors)

Location: St. Patrick Adult & Continuing Education

Start date: February 10, 2026

End date: June 11, 2026

This Contract Position exists to provide temporary coverage for an existing role within the organization. This course will run if there is sufficient enrollment.

This will be a night class running from February 10th to June 11, 2026, Tuesday & Thursday evenings, 6:00 - 9:00 p.m.

This course will be virtually delivered through synchronous, two-way instructional conferencing via VLE.

Teacher availability: Please ensure you are available for the duration of the course every Tuesday & Thursday evening.

Salary: $ 55.82/hour

QUALIFICATIONS:

For an applicant to be considered qualified for the position, the applicant shall hold the required qualifications, as per the Education Act and Regulations (as recorded on the Ontario College of Teachers Certificate of Qualification at the time of this posting), in the subject(s) and division(s) identified in this posting.

The successful candidate:

  • Must have a Bachelor of Education Degree
  • Must be in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers
  • Senior Mathematics qualifications required



SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Successful secondary teaching experience preferred
  • Proficiency with D2L preferred
  • Understanding of virtual teaching pedagogy
  • Experience in a Catholic school preferred
  • Previous experience in continuing education programs an asset
  • Working knowledge of the Ontario Catholic Graduate Expectations, Ethical Standards for the Teaching Profession, and the Standards of Practice for the Teaching Profession
  • A practicing Catholic with an active Catholic Faith life
  • Proficient knowledge & understanding of Ontario curriculum, evaluation & assessment techniques
  • Current in understanding of research, integrating technology and best instructional practices
  • Effective classroom management skills and ability to create a welcoming and safe Catholic learning environment for all student
