Senior Security Dev Ops Engineer, Brampton, ON

As a Senior Security Dev Ops Engineer for Cloud Network and Security Engineering POD, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, highly available, and scalable cloud infrastructure and applications to support security controls across the enterprise. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure that security is integrated into the development and deployment process and that security controls are implemented and maintained throughout the application lifecycle. You will be responsible for the availability, confidentiality, and integrity of the data and systems within the Cloud Network and Security Engineering POD.

What You’ll Do:

  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize security requirements and design and implement security controls to protect against security threats.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge and expertise in designing, building, implementing, and maintaining scalable, reliable, and automated cloud infrastructure solutions on public cloud platforms such as GCP, Azure and Oracle
  • Design and implement controls for cloud infrastructure, including OCI, Azure, or Google Cloud, to ensure that the infrastructure is secure and highly available.
  • Combine conceptual and practical expertise in the areas of cloud infrastructure, IT architecture, scripting, continuous integration, and deployment (CI/CD), build automation, system monitoring, troubleshooting, and remediation to architect, develop, and deliver complex solutions following best practices and architecture framework from start to finish.
  • Develop and maintain documentation on security procedures, standards, and guidelines.
  • Automate security processes and workflows to improve efficiency and reduce human error.
  • Implement and maintain security best practices and standards across the Cloud Security Engineering POD.
  • Collaborate with data solution teams to develop automation scripts and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates to automate the provisioning, deployment, and configuration of Snowflake infrastructure resources

What you Bring:

  • Proven experience in site Security Dev Ops Space.
  • Strong proficiency in cloud platforms such as OCI, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, with hands-on experience in Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef )
  • Strong knowledge of security best practices, principles, and technologies, including encryption, authentication, access control, network security, and cloud security.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with CI/CD and IT automation tools and practices (e.g. Azure DevOps, AWS Code Pipeline/CodeCommit/CodeDeploy, Artifactory, etc.
  • In-depth conceptual knowledge and practical hands-on expertise in IT architecture (Cloud-based, serverless, and microservice-based architecture, etc.), cloud infrastructure and technologies, scripting, and IaC tools (JSON, YAML, Python, PowerShell, Node.js,
  • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
  • Expertise in Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Create a DevOps tool solution from the ground up to bridge organizational gaps.
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer, Google Cloud Certified - Professional DevOps Engineer preferred Professional, or Snowflake SnowPro Core Certification preferred.
