The

Opportunity

St.

Vital Catholic School is seeking a Part-Time Temporary Complexity Teacher

(0.5 FTE)

to support students and staff during the mornings, Monday to

Friday, from February 23, 2026 to June 30, 2026.

This

role focuses on targeted intervention and skill development for students

requiring additional support. The successful candidate will work

collaboratively with classroom teachers and support staff to strengthen

foundational academic, self-regulation, and learning readiness skills that

contribute to long-term student success.

Key

Areas of Support

The

Complexity Teacher will provide targeted support in the following areas:

  • Mathematics

    Supporting foundational numeracy by closing learning gaps through small, skill-alike groups (Division I and II) and possible push-in classroom support.
  • Reading

    Strengthening phonemic awareness and phonics, primarily in Division I, with potential extension into Division II.
  • Regulation & Executive Functioning

    Assisting students with self-regulation, organization, attention, and readiness for learning.
  • Occupational Therapy Implementation

    Supporting fine motor, gross motor, and stamina-building activities to enhance student engagement and learning success.
This

position is designed to complement classroom instruction and enhance student

outcomes through targeted, responsive intervention.
