Living Sky School Division is seeking an LSKYSD Colony School Principal to provide instructional and administrative leadership across multiple colony school sites.
Position Overview
This is a permanent, full-time (1.0 FTE) position. The successful candidate will serve as the principal for the following colony schools:
- Scott Colony
Scott Colony School is near Scott, Saskatchewan, and serves 25 students from Kindergarten to Grade 8.
- Luseland Colony School (new school opening in Living Sky School Division)
Luseland Colony School near Luseland, Saskatchewan, was founded in 2018 as a division from the Wintering Hills Hutterite Colony (Hussar, Alberta, Canada). This is a new school for the 2025-2026 school year in Living Sky School Division, serving approximately 20 students from Kindergarten to Grade 8.
- Rose Hill Colony School (new school opening in Living Sky School Division)
Rose Hill Hutterite Colony near Cando, Saskatchewan, was founded in 2020 as a division from the Willow Creek Hutterite Colony (Claresholm, Alberta, Canada). This is a new school for the 2026-2027 school year in Living Sky School Division, serving approximately 20 students from Kindergarten to Grade 8.
The LSKYSD Colony School Principal will be based out of one of the colony school sites, which will also serve as their teaching location. The administrative allotment (FTE) is to be determined (TBA). Travel between colony schools is an expected part of the role and will be covered by the division.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Master’s degree in Educational Administration is required, or a demonstrated commitment to obtaining one.
- Administrative experience is considered an asset.
- Strong instructional leadership skills and the ability to support teaching and learning in colony school contexts.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, colony leadership, and families.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel between school sites as required.
