Supply Handler - Temporary - Full Time - Saskatoon, SK

Job Purpose:

This position is responsible for assuring that supplies, medical equipment, and mail are retrieved and distributed within a site adhering to scheduled timelines.

Status: Temporary Full Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday 07:45am - 16:15pm
Additional Requirements: Position involves, receiving deliveries, picking/ packing supplies and use of company vehicle to deliver out to PSC's in Saskatoon. Must have a valid class 5 driver license with clean drivers abstract.

Key Accountabilities:

• Transportation of supplies and mail within a designated site adhering to scheduled timelines.
• Transportation of medical/surgical equipment, case carts and other equipment as necessary.
• Collection of supplies, instruments, etc. from the designated site and disposing in an appropriate way.
• Responsible for lifting and moving of heavy items up to 40 lbs. (70%)
• First point of contact with health region employees as it relates to site specific changes impacting schedules of Walkers and Couriers and escalates issues to management as required. (10%)
• First point of contact for site Porter issue resolution and escalates issues to Manager as required. (10%)
• Maintain a clean, orderly and safe working environment. (10%)

Position Requirements:

Minimum Education:

• Required: Grade 10 (preferred Grade 12)

Experience:

• No minimum experience required

Key Contacts:

• Logistics Supervisor – Regular interaction with the supervisor. Escalates any issues/problems to the Supervisor.
• Hospital Staff – Regular daily interaction providing customer service to all departments within the hospital
