Purpose of the Role

The Senior Manager, Pricing leads the pricing strategy, governance, and decision support across Government, B2B and B2C portfolios. This role partners closely with Commercial teams and executive leadership to ensure pricing decisions are data-driven, value-based, competitive, and margin-accretive.

 

The position plays a critical role in driving sustainable revenue growth and profitability, supporting both near-term commercial decisions and long-term strategic initiatives. As a trusted advisor, the Senior Manager translates market dynamics, cost drivers, and customer insights into clear pricing strategies and actionable recommendations.

 

What You’ll Do:

Pricing Strategy & Commercial Decision Support

  • Lead the development and execution of pricing strategies, frameworks and policies across all lines of business to optimize revenue and margin performance, ensuring alignment with corporate growth.
  • Partner with Commercial teams to support deal structuring, pricing decisions, contract negotiations, and drive pricing strategy for new products, services, RFPs, and B2B initiatives
  • Facilitate cross‑functional alignment on pricing trade‑offs between growth, competitiveness, and profitability.
  • Support annual planning, outlooks, and long‑range plans by embedding pricing assumptions grounded in market intelligence and cost structure.
  • Act as a pricing thought leader, challenging assumptions and bringing forward insights segmentation, and value realization.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership (VP Commercial Finance, Chief Market & Partnership Officer, CFO, CEO) on pricing strategy and financial impacts.

 

Pricing Analytics & Performance Management

  • Own pricing analytics, customer and contract profitability, price-volume-mix, price realization, discount leakage, and performance versus plan.
  • Provide strategic insights on competitive positioning, market trends, pricing risks, and opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain pricing models to evaluate pricing scenarios, contract structures, profitability, and customer segmentation strategies.
  • Establish and consistently report pricing KPIs across all lines of business, providing actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Measure post-implementation results of pricing actions against approved business cases, including realized revenue, volume, customer retention, and margin outcomes.

Process Improvement & Capability Building

  • Drive continuous improvement in pricing processes, tools, and ways of working to increase speed, consistency, and insight.
  • Leverage automation, advanced analytics, and systems to enhance pricing effectiveness and scalability.
  • Contribute to the development of pricing capabilities and best practices across the Finance and Commercial organizations.
  • Lead cross-functional pricing initiatives and provide functional guidance, coaching, and pricing expertise to Finance and Commercial teams

 

Commercial Enablement & Business Impact

  • Act as a strategic partner to Sales and Growth teams to drive revenue, customer retention, and expansion.
  • Lead development of business cases, pricing structures, and commercial frameworks for complex deals.
  • Support large, strategic opportunities and executive level negotiations.
  • Ensure alignment between contract structures and long-term business strategy

 

Process Optimization, Innovation & Technology

  • Champion continuous improvement of RFP and contract processes, including use of automation and AI-enabled solutions.
  • Standardize templates, tools, and workflows to increase efficiency and reduce cycle times.
  • Implement best practices in proposal management, knowledge management, and contract lifecycle systems.
  • Leverage data and analytics to improve forecasting, pipeline visibility, and win/loss insights

Pricing Governance & Controls

  • Establish and maintain pricing governance, approval thresholds, decision rights, escalation protocols, and policy exceptions. 
  • Ensure pricing decisions are appropriately documented and consistent with contractual, regulatory, and financial control requirements.

 

What You'll Bring:

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • 8 - 10 years of experience
  • Accounting Designation, CPA and /or MBA
  • Experience supporting both business and consumer markets, particularly where pricing dynamics differ by channel, customer segment, or product.
  • Experience in pricing strategy development, margin & profitability management, discounting and deal economics, contract pricing.
  • Ability to influence decisions without direct authority, using financial insight, commercial judgment, and clear communication.
  • Experience in supporting business development opportunity including development of financial model for new line of businesses
  • Experience leading complex discussions involving trade‑offs.
  • Comfort working with complex data and translating it into practical pricing recommendations.
  • Strong experience in financial modeling, scenario analysis, customer, contract and product profitability.
  • Exceptional analytical and business planning skills in order to solve problems and research and escalate issues, when necessary
  • Strong data driven analytical skills
  • Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, Oracle Cloud, EPM application suites preferred)
  • Experience working with reporting and data visualization tools such as Power BI.
  • Demonstrated initiative in recognizing efficiencies and implementing process improvement initiatives cross-functionally

What We Offer: Salary range: $112,565 - $143,520 CAD annually (commensurate with experience)
