Reports to: Director, Consumer Platforms & Mobile Products

Vacancy status: This posting is for an existing position.

Purpose of the Role

We are looking for a mission-driven, entrepreneurial product owner to advance LifeLabs decentralized collection services — driving customer acquisition, reducing costs, and transforming how care is delivered.

As Product Manager, you will manage multiple products that bring phlebotomy and cardiac services to Canadians at their homes and workplaces. A primary focus within your product suite will be growing MyVisit, a fee-based direct-to-consumer service that provides customers with a convenient option for medical sample collection at a location and time of their choice. You will have full P&L ownership and will need to resourcefully leverage limited marketing budgets to achieve MyVisit’s ambitious revenue growth targets. For other, more mature products in the B2B and B2G space, you will be responsible for collaborating with account managers to retain customers and introduce new value-adding services.

You will champion customer-centric solutions, align priority initiatives and make critical commercial decisions that guide the marketing, operations and IT teams in making our products successful.  Drawing together customer insights and clinical outcomes, you will lead service enhancements that deliver measurable benefits to patients, providers and the broader health system.

Your responsibilities will include:

Develop Growth Strategy & Achieve Revenue Targets

  • Own the P&L for your assigned products and deliver on aggressive growth plans
  • Identify creative, low-cost marketing/distribution opportunities that maximize customer acquisition (“growth hacking”)
  • Ideate innovative, market-leading concepts and features for varied geographies and customer segments.
  • Define user personas and customer journeys, leveraging them for targeted marketing plans
  • Identify opportunities for cross-sell and upsell within customers’ buying journeys.
  • Advocate the unique value proposition of LifeLabs mobile collection services and demonstrate how we excel against the competition
  • Create tools to support RFP submissions and sales (pitch decks, white papers, marketing collateral, prospect lists)
  • Drive a culture of experimentation, learning, and agility

Operational Effectiveness & Continuous Improvement

  • Collaborate with finance, operations, and marketing to optimize unit economics and ROI
  • Monitor customer service KPIs, resolving issues in collaboration with operations, accounting, vendors, and IT
  • Make it easy to choose LifeLabs by delivering a feature pipeline that addresses pain points in the customer journey
  • Serve as the voice of the customer within the organization; scan market and competitive trends to inform product enhancements
  • Facilitate continuous improvement through a multi-pronged set of feedback and data gathering mechanisms, prioritizing ideas based on strategic alignment, user impact, and feasibility
  • Use data to rapidly iterate, prioritize, and scale successful experiments.
  • Consolidate learnings and progress into digestible reports and lead presentations to key executive stakeholders

Customer Lifecycle & Market Focus

  • Manage complete product lifecycle, including launch activities, decommissioning plans, revenue forecasting, quarterly business reviews, submission of product/marketing briefs, etc.
  • Support the operations and field service teams by providing data, insights, customer perspective and service positioning needed to evaluate opportunities and support informed decision making
  • Establish strategic partnerships with relevant organizations or platforms to expand the reach of mobile services
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the markets and clients' needs across Canada.
Maintain knowledge of the regulatory environment, reimbursement, and competitive landscape and apply to long range business planning.

What you bring to the role:

Required Skills & Experience

  • University Degree in Business, engineering, science, marketing, or related feild.
  • 5+ years in product management, with at least 2 years of P&L accountability in a highly regulated environment
  • Entrepreneurial, resourceful, and relentless in finding ways to win.
  • Track record of growing a D2C product with limited resources.
  • Strong grasp of e-commerce, growth marketing, and digital funnels
  • Analytical, financially savvy, and comfortable managing budgets, forecasts, pricing strategy, and business case development
  • Financial expertise with exposure to multi-year business planning and forecasting
  • Proven ability to communicate, motivate, and align cross-functionally with clinical, operational, technical, and external stakeholders to drive forward complex healthcare initiatives
  • Proficiency in developing Minimum Viable Products, proof-of-concept solutions, and early-stage pilot programs with clearly established objectives, success criteria and desired outcomes
  • Deep commitment to customer and patient-centred design, with a demonstrated ability to translate end-user needs into impactful product and service improvements.
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and resourcefulness; comfortable navigating ambiguity, identifying gaps, and proactively iterating solutions in fast-evolving environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft and deliver compelling presentations for diverse audiences.
  • Track record of fostering respectful, inclusive collaboration across teams with varying perspectives, expertise, and priorities.

Nice-to-Have Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in decentralized healthcare, diagnostics, or senior care
  • Familiarity with service delivery models that involve field employees distributed over large geographies
  • Strength in process mapping and service design
  • Exposure to hospital systems, medical technology and infrastructure
