Position Summary:

We’re looking for a Logistics Supervisor to provide day-to-day leadership across one or more assigned locations within our logistics network. This is an onsite role based in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), with travel required between sites.

 

In this role, you’ll be responsible for overseeing employees, workflow, client service, operational performance, and health and safety within a fast-paced logistics environment. You’ll play a key role in ensuring delivery standards are met, resources are effectively managed, and teams are supported through clear leadership, coaching, and performance management.

 

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in operational environments, enjoys leading people, and can balance day-to-day execution with continuous improvement and service excellence.

What You’ll Do:

Team Leadership & People Management:

  • Lead, coach, and support employees across assigned site locations, fostering accountability, engagement, and strong team performance.
  • Manage scheduling requirements, including time-off requests, overtime approvals, and shift changes.
  • Oversee recruitment, hiring, onboarding, performance management, attendance management, and employee development.
  • Support employee relations matters, including collaboration with Human Resources and, where applicable, local union representatives.
  • Ensure the appropriate application of collective agreements where applicable.
  • Help implement organizational and workflow changes while supporting teams through change effectively.

Operational Leadership & Service Delivery:

  • Oversee daily logistics operations across assigned locations to ensure efficient, reliable service delivery.
  • Monitor operational performance and key indicators, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure achievement of service, quality, and operational targets, including turnaround times, documentation accuracy, and delivery standards.
  • Utilize logistics reporting to inform decision-making and drive continuous operational improvement.
  • Manage site-level operational budgets and support cost-effective resource planning.
  • Support business recovery preparedness and lead implementation of recovery plans when required.
  • Ensure timely escalation and resolution of operational issues.

Compliance, Safety & Continuous Improvement:

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Maintain adherence to regulatory requirements and external governing bodies, including transportation and workplace safety regulations.
  • Conduct workplace inspections, incident investigations, employee safety training, and team safety discussions.
  • Address and correct unsafe conditions or behaviours in a timely manner.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvements aligned with operational excellence and Lean initiatives.

 

What You'll Bring:

  • 3–5 years of logistics experience, with demonstrated success in an operational leadership or supervisory capacity.
  • Experience leading teams in a fast-paced operations environment; healthcare sector experience is preferred.
  • Previous logistics lead or frontline leadership experience is a strong asset.
  • Experience working in unionized environments is an asset.
  • Strong people leadership skills, including coaching, performance management, and employee engagement.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly in a dynamic operational setting.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving abstract required.
  • Must be willing and able to travel between sites across the GTA.
  • Shift schedule is 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM, subject to change based on operational needs.
  • Availability for evening and weekend on-call responsibilities is required.

What We Offer:

Salary range: $68,126 –86,861 CAD annually (commensurate with experience).
