We are currently seeking a full-time Electrical Technologist who is responsible for the physical assembly, wiring, and kitting of electrical components and machines based on technical schematics, while ensuring quality standards are met through troubleshooting and the identification of design deficiencies. The hours will typically be Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Base salary: $54,000 - $66,000 / year (Plus applicable travel premiums)

Location: 400 Highway 6 N, Dundas, ON L9H 7K4

Typical Duties Include (but are not limited to):

  • Layout & wire different components within & between electrical cabinets & machines
  • Assemble/ mount different components on machine/panel back plates
  • Kit and pick all components as per Bill of Material
  • Must be able to travel to different sites as needed

Key Skill Requirements:

  • Proficient in reading & interpreting electrical drawings/schematics
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong multi-tasker
  • Experience in Microsoft applications, computer software and hardware
  • Willing to work overtime/weekends as required
  • Monitor products to ensure product and quality specifications are met
  • Identify and report any deficiencies and issues with design or materials

Key Experience/Education:

  • Knowledge of safety control systems an asset
  • Understanding of machine safety and CSA Safety Standards an asset
  • Completed Post-Secondary education in the field of Electrical from an accredited technical school or equivalent experience
  • 1-3 years’ experience with electrical equipment is preferred
  • Electrical Technologist diploma or equivalent is preferred
