Responsibilities

  • Ensures overall compliance of Ledcor's health, safety, and environmental standards as well as occupational health and safety regulations daily
  • Demonstrates ability to lead teams effectively in the day to day execution of the work by managing resources, materials, and labour
  • Reports to the Superintendent any problems or unforeseen issues that could affect the project plan
  • Trains, supports and offers ongoing guidance to all crew members
  • Completes daily paperwork and involved in conducting daily toolbox talks
  • Complete tasks safely, efficiently, and within project deadlines, following Ledcor’s high standards for safety and quality

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Journeyperson Carpenter with 2-3+ years’ experience in a leadership role
  • Experience working on major infrastructure and bridge projects highly desired
  • Ability to adapt information and communication style to the audience
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean 3-year driver’s abstract
  • CSTS-2020 Fundamentals, WHMIS 2015, ESC Fall Protection, Confined Space and Elevated Work Platform, Ground Disturbance L2 (training provided)

Work Conditions

  • Monday to Friday, 10 hours per day with potential overtime required over the summer months on the weekend
  • Work in all weather conditions year-round and willing to lend a hand where needed
