We are actively seeking a Captain to perform maritime maneuvers in support of maritime and infrastructure work on various projects in Quebec and outside the province. As part of his responsibilities, he moves and transports equipment and ensures the health and safety of his crew.

YOUR TALENTS WILL BE USED TO MEET THE FOLLOWING CHALLENGES:

  • Perform various maneuvers on a tugboat or a low-tonnage workboat.
  • Move equipment on the dredging site.
  • Transfer equipment between projects.
  • Supervise vessel operation and basic maintenance.
  • Ensure the smooth running of operations with the help of the Deckhand.
  • Comply with health, safety, and environmental protection regulations.
  • Participate and support the activities of the Health, Safety and Environment Management System.

Requested skills

OUR IDEAL COLLEAGUE HAS:

  • Master certificate, Limited for a Vessel of less than 60 Gross Tonnage or equivalent
  • Certificates of aptitude: Basic security STCW-BS
  • Valid medical certificate issued by Transport Canada
  • CF Basic First Aid at Sea
  • Restricted radio certificate (asset)
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience in a similar role (asset)
  • Bilingualism French and English, spoken and written (asset)
