Under the direction of the Director of Finance, the finance controller will participate in the supervision and coordination of all accounting activities and processes for our 19 branches, as well as our real estate subsidiary.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Take charge of the month-end process, journal entries, and account analysis reviews
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements
- Oversee accounts receivable and payable, and approve account openings
- Provide various reports required by departments and support them in achieving their objectives
- Update and improve performance reports, and explain variances when necessary
- Prepare forecasts, financial analyses, and reports to support decision-making
- Participate in the optimization and maintenance of internal controls and processes
- Be involved in the budgeting process
- Participate in the annual financial statement audit
- Assist with cash flow management
- Perform any other related tasks

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation;
- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting;
- Excellent command of Excel and ease with technological tools;
- Good knowledge of Microsoft D365 (a strong asset);
- Proficiency in spoken and written English;
- Strong analytical skills, ability to synthesize information, and attention to detail;
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with various stakeholders;
- Willingness to travel occasionally across our 19 branches in Quebec and Ontario.
