We are currently looking to hire a full-time Manager to join the Tax Shared Services management team. Reporting to the Head of Tax Shared Services, the primary role of the Manager is to provide support and guidance to both the geographical teams in Canada and the Tax Shared Services team located outside of Canada. The Manager’s responsibilities will be governing and optimizing offshore delivery across various Tax service lines. This role provides strategic and operational leadership to ensure offshore work is high quality, appropriately deployed, effectively trained, and aligned to capacity and budget targets, while delivering measurable value to partners and engagement teams.
The ideal candidate will have a background in Tax and has experience working in a national tax practice supporting tax practitioners, working in the business as a tax practitioner using offshore or has experience working and managing an offshore delivery center. This is a growing team, with rapid and continued growth targets over the next several years. It is a fast-paced environment with the potential to advance further in your career.
What you will do
- Oversee day-to-day operations along with other members of the national Tax Shared Services team.
- Assist with internal messaging, communications and intranet portal page related to Tax Shared Services.
- Incorporate AI tools/processes/framework in the work you do and identify AI use cases to aid in streamlining learning, communications and tax research.
- Identify and resolve process and training gaps and needs.
- Assist with launching new service offerings and programs as they arise.
- Identify and execute on strategies to scale up the current operating model.
- Monitor actuals against budgets and saturation targets, escalating risks and variances as required
- Forming, building and maintaining relationships across the firm (onshore and offshore), to facilitate collaboration and growth.
- Provide support to the champion network and geographical business units to help them achieve their KPI’s and business goals.
What you bring to the role
- 5+ years of experience working in a public practice accounting firm, ideally with a background in tax compliance delivery or working with offshore delivery centers;
- Minimum 2 years of management experience, including overseeing direct or indirect reports;
- Working knowledge of tax preparation software (i.e. TaxPrep/iFIRM, CCH Axcess, GoRS, etc.), macro-enabled excel templates, SharePoint, and CaseWare is preferred;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, high attention to detail and ability to generate high quality deliverables;
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills to manage key relationships with stakeholders and staff of various levels;
- Effective time management skills, including the ability to oversee and manage multiple programs and responsibilities at one time;
- The ability to travel internationally, inclusive of India, up to 20% annually, as required
- Innovative mindset, to support continuous improvements, adoption of technology, and integration of AI.
KPMG Ontario Region Pay Range Information
The expected base salary range for this position is $95,000 to $143,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
KPMG BC Region Pay Range Information
The expected base salary range for this position is $85,000 to $128,500 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
