The Opportunity

 

The KPMG International ( KPMGI) Operations Manager is a hands-on, operational role, charged with supporting the Senior Chief of Staff to the Global Chief Adminitrative Officer (CAO) /Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in the operations of KPMGI. Working as part of the core CAO team, this role will suit a high performing individual seeking the opportunity to gain exposure to the operations of KPMGI and to expand their knowledge of global operations and different areas within the CAO. 

 

The KPMGI Operations Manager will support the Senior Chief of Staff with CAO team operations, operational and strategic projects, CAO team engagement activities and communications and other ad hoc initiatives.

 

 


What you will do

CAO Operations

  • Support core Global CAO operational priorities by coordinating SMEs, optimizing and documenting processes, managing key tools (CAO portal, Global Policies Manual, Service Now travel approvals & Power BI dashboard), overseeing the Our Impact Plan (OIP) initiatives for KPMGI (Internal Carbon Price fund, engagement with OIP Champions, etc.)

Meeting support

  • Support the Senior Chief of Staff on preparation of agendas, presentations and other materials for meetings attended or led by the Global CAO including the GMT, COO Steering Group, CFO Working Group, Board and Board Committees, CAO Extended Leadership Team (‘ELT’) and other ad hoc meetings.

Project Management

  • Lead or support CAO operational projects by identifying critical paths, analyzing data, managing stakeholder relationships, influencing timelines, and presenting solutions to overcome program challenges

CAO Team Communications & Town Halls:

  • Support the development of an internal CAO team communications strategy to inform, engage and connect the CAO team across multiple global locations – including but not limited to drafting team communications, developing Town Hall agendas and content, managing the CAO Teams page, etc

 CAO Team Engagement:

  • Provides support with analyzing the CAO Global People Survey (‘GPS’) results and building the CAO GPS action plan, participates in the CAO Employee Engagement Council by supporting agenda development, taking minutes and actioning meeting outcomes, and works with the CAO ELT to support action planning in their individual teams. Supports the development and execution of other initiatives to build a more cohesive and engaged CAO community

What you bring to the role

  • Degree in business administration, corporate communications, operations, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in a comparable role preferred
  • Capable of dealing with ambiguity and able to react positively to changing priorities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (versed in the preparation of materials for executive level audiences)

  • Strong knowledge of technical tools including SharePoint, Service Now and Power BI

  • Able to manage multiple senior level stakeholder requirements across multiple time zones, often to tight deadlines
  • Multi-tasking capability; must be able to coordinate more than one project and various tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent PowerPoint, Excel and Word skills
