Vice-Principal Candidate Pool - All Areas

Do you have a passion for leadership? Are you ready to take the next step in your educational career? Do you want to inspire students and staff as a school administrator?
We are currently accepting applications for entry into our vice-principal candidate pool (elementary and secondary)! As a dynamic and dedicated educator, you will work with faculty, support staff, students, parents, and the communities in Northwestern Ontario to provide an excellent education in a learner-centered environment that prepares each student to be a successful individual and a responsible member of society.
Candidates who are accepted into the pool can expect:
- school or system-level instructional leadership opportunities
- networking opportunities with other aspiring leaders in the organization
- professional development (provided at no cost)
- access to subsidies to complete Principals Qualification Program
- mentoring
- opportunities to make a difference for staff and students within your school community
Ideal candidates for this pool would have the following:
- ability to maintain a strong focus on student success, achievement and well-being
- Understanding of Indigenous perspectives, histories, and pedagogies, with the ability to incorporate Indigenous content and approaches into school leadership, curriculum, and school culture
- ability to create/maintain a positive and inclusive school climate and learning environment for students
- ability to complete the Principals Qualification Program
- ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment
- ability to demonstrate an understanding of Board strategic priorities
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with conflicts
- a minimum of five years teaching experience
