Description
1. JOB OBJECTIVES
- The Specialist Machinery Inspection and Packaging is responsible for managing and optimizing visual inspection and packaging machines within the Packaging Department.
- He ensures the smooth short and long-term running of inspection and packaging operations, as well as the continuous improvement of the efficiency of these 2 processes.
2. PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
Development and validation of visual inspection recipes:
- Ensure the development, optimization and validation of recipes for visual inspection of products on the automatic vial inspection machine (AVS).
- Work closely with the production and quality teams to ensure that recipes meet compliance and quality requirements, as well as the needs of the department.
Management of inspection and packaging machines:
- Act as the main point of contact for the management of inspection and packaging machines, as an expert
- in these systems.
- Manage machine licenses and users, anticipating any need to renew licenses or update the solutions used.
- Identify needs and propose projects to maintain and improve the fleet of machines, in collaboration with project managers for planning and implementation.
Support and maintenance:
- Provide technical support to floor teams in the event of machine problems or breakdowns.
- Work with the maintenance department to ensure effective preventive and corrective maintenance (improve maintenance/calibration plans based on issues encountered during use, identify critical parts to build emergency stock).
Training and documentation :
- Participate in keeping inspection and packaging machine documentation up to date.
- Train staff in new procedures and modifications to inspection and packaging systems.
- Train staff in the correct use of equipment.
Continuous improvement:
- Identify and propose improvements to optimize visual inspection and packaging processes.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
3. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT AND APTITUDES
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical or computer science)
- Experience in the field an asset
- Strong interest and curiosity in mechanics and industrial automation to understand the operation and troubleshooting of automated machines
- Competence and interest in computers and industrial automation
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work on a variety of tasks in parallel
- Resilience under pressure
- Ability to communicate effectively in both French and English (written and oral)
- High level of integrity in work execution
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical production processes and quality standards is considered an asset.
