Reporting to the Director of the Estimating Department, the Senior Estimator, Construction Projects, will play a strategic role in the budget evaluation of large-scale projects. Your expertise will help structure robust financial proposals and guide the supplier and subcontractor selection process.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 5 to 10 years’ experience in building project estimation with a general contractor.
  • Technical training in estimating, construction engineering, or equivalent.
  • Strong plan reading skills (architecture, structural, electromechanical, civil).
  • Very good knowledge of construction processes and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in calculation, drawing, and estimation tools (Excel, Planswift, Revit, Bluebeam, etc.).
  • Ability to work methodically, rigorously, and with attention to detail.
  • Analytical skills, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills.

Your Key Contributions
  • In-depth analysis of plans and specifications to define the work packages to be assigned to specialized trades.
  • Prepare precise quantifications of required resources (materials, labor, equipment).
  • Prepare detailed estimates based on current data and submitted prices.
  • Recommend alternative approaches to optimize costs (technical merit).
  • Develop pre-purchase, procurement, and construction schedules.
  • Manage the request for quotation process with subcontractors.
  • Compare and evaluate the offers received to formulate clear recommendations.
  • Participate in contractual discussions with selected partners.
  • Ensure the transfer of information to project management teams.
  • Maintain an up-to-date internal database of unit costs and work methods.
  • Support teams during the execution phase with budget tracking and change management.
  • Participate in technical and kick-off meetings as required by the project.
