Description
The incumbent will be responsible for effective inventory management and maintaining availability levels for the designated geographic area. The incumbent will negotiate with suppliers for additional space, back orders, special requests and moves.
Main responsibilities
Ensure that hotel inventory and allocation is controlled and analyzed promptly to maximize utilization of all contracted space.
Develop and maintain a solid understanding of products in assigned provinces.
Develop and maintain partnerships with suppliers (hotels, activity and transportation providers) to support inventory purchasing and re-purchasing.
Work closely with other teams within the organization to achieve the best results for our customers.
Acquire knowledge and understanding of our key customer and market requirements.
Request additional space according to requirements and contractual conditions.
Ensure that hotels/suppliers comply with contractual conditions.
Negotiate relocations, if necessary, and ensure that alternative arrangements are as close as possible to the original request with minimal impact on customers.
Negotiate with suppliers on rate requests, upgrades and special requests. (Negotiation may include rates and conditions).
