Canada Games: Québec, 2027

As the largest amateur multi-sport competition in the country, the Canada Games bring together over 3,500 high calibre athletes and coaches in more than twenty disciplines. Alternating between summer and winter, every two years, they showcase the immense talent and perseverance of our champions. The winter edition of the Canada Games will take place in Québec City from February 27 to March 14, 2027.

The 2027 Canada Games Host Society is looking for bold minds to create memorable Games. Your mission? Join a passionate team that will create exceptional moments for both athletes and visitors while building a lasting legacy of excellence and innovation for our community.

 

Your Role

History is made with the right people. The 2027 Canada Games is looking for a Specialist, Sponsorship and Partnerships to play a key role in the development of our corporate agreements. Working closely with the Director, Partnerships and Revenue Generation, you will actively contribute to the deployment of our funding strategy by securing major sponsorships.

Responsibilities

  • Grow our portfolio of corporate partners by identifying and approaching companies aligned with our vision.
  • Develop compelling, strategic, and customized sponsorship proposals.
  • Pitch, negotiate, and close major financial agreements ($100,000 and more).
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with each partner-from the first contact to full delivery of commitments.
  • Attend public events and cultivate constructive relationships with key business stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to deliver high-impact partnerships that meet our ambitions.
  • Prepare impactful presentations and sales tools that leave a lasting impression.
  • Support all fundraising efforts and help achieve goals set by the leadership team within established timelines.
  • Ensure the execution of sponsorship deliverables and manage partner agreements: brand exposure, visibility, internal and external approval processes, invitations and protocol, service exchanges, etc., in collaboration with the department’s activation lead.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and identify new development opportunities.


Keys to success

Want to join our team? Here's what it takes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in sponsorship sales or business development
  • A versatile profile with significant experience in event sponsorship acquisition
  • Professional fluency in both French and English, spoken and written
  • Proven track record of results
  • Criminal background check required
  • Authorization to work in Canada

  • Proficient with presentation tools (PowerPoint, Canva, or equivalent)
  • Versatile and ready to move at the Games' pace, even outside office hours
  • Based in the Quebec City region or ready to relocate to be part of the adventure
