Position Summary
We are hiring for a Casual Social Worker for the East Kootenay Regional Hospital, located in Cranbrook, B.C.

Days of Work: Varies as needed
Shift times: 08:00 to 16:00

About the position: Explore a Career in Social Work at Interior Health
Casual shifts are available five days a week, on an as needed basis. You’ll have a key role providing social work services to in-patients attached to the East Kootenay Regional Hospital. You will provide comprehensive assessment, care planning and treatment coordination for designated clients and their families. Working collaboratively with other health care providers and the multidisciplinary team, you will provide direct psychosocial care, counseling, system navigation and advocacy, education and linkage to relevant specialized complex care resources while facilitating client self-management. This position is responsible for providing and developing social work services to maintain or improve the health and social well-being and functioning of the identified population.

Qualfications
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited university. Two years recent related experience in a healthcare setting working with medically complex clients with concurrent disorders, or a combination of education, training and experience. Current full registration with the British Columbia College of Social Workers.
Current valid driver’s license.
