Position Summary
We are hiring a relief part-time (0.76 FTE) Respiratory Therapist (RT) at East Kootenay Regional Hospital (EKH) located in Cranbrook, B.C. This position will provide coverage until return of incumbent.
Days of work: Tuesday to Friday
Shift times: 8:30 to 15:54

About this position:
This position is in EKH’s Pulmonary Function Lab where testing includes cardiopulmonary exercise testing, spirometry, methacholine challenges, bronchoscopy, and exercise induced asthma testing, sleep disorder screening, and home oxygen assessments.
At EKH, Respiratory Therapists are key clinical partners across the entire hospital, providing care in all acute areas and participating directly in High Acuity Response Team (HART) transports. The environment is highly collaborative, offering exposure to all patient populations, opportunities to build advanced skills (such as intubation assistance, arterial line support, neonatal CPAP), and a strong culture of mentorship and team connection.

Qualfications
Successful completion of the Health Professionals Testing Canada (HPTC) Credentialing Exam. Eligible for membership with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) and the British Columbia Society of Respiratory Therapists (BCSRT). Current valid BC Driver’s License.
