Position Summary
Cariboo Community Health Services (WLC), located in Williams Lake, B.C., is hiring for casual Community Respiratory Therapists (RTs). Days of work are Monday to Friday on a casual as need basis; shift times 08:00 to 16:00.

About the position:
Reporting to the professional practice leader, the Community Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory therapy services across both hospital and community settings. This role supports clients and caregivers by:
• Promoting respiratory health and wellness;
• Assessing, educating, treating, and supporting the rehabilitation of individuals with respiratory conditions;
• Demonstrating respiratory care procedures and sharing clinical expertise with healthcare professionals and students in both community and hospital environments; and
• Ensuring the safe and effective use of respiratory equipment and specialized procedures.
The Community Respiratory Therapist plays a key role in delivering integrated respiratory care and enhancing the quality of life for patients. Home site will be based in Williams Lake WLC. Travel to 100 Mile House as necessary with an Interior Health fleet vehicle.

Qualfications
Graduation from a recognized program in Respiratory Therapy and two years’ recent experience in pulmonary rehabilitation, asthma education, respiratory home care, home ventilation, home oxygen, and sleep disordered breathing screening, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Successful completion of the Health Professionals Testing Canada (HPTC) Credentialing Exam. Eligible for membership with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) and the British Columbia Society of Respiratory Therapists (BCSRT).
Current valid BC driver’s license.
