Position Summary
We are hiring for a relief part-time (0.82fte) Respiratory Therapist to join our acute care team at the Penticton Regional Hospital. This position is anticipated to run until March 2027 or the return of the current incumbent. Participation in High Acuity Response Team (HART) transports is mandatory in this role.
Days of Work: Rotating
Shift times/Hours of work: 07:00 to 19:15 and 19:00 to 07:15

About the role:
In this role, you will provide respiratory care in alignment with Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) standards and a client- and family-centered care model. You will work both independently and collaboratively to support clients with a range of acute and chronic cardio-respiratory conditions. This position involves consulting with other healthcare professionals, contributing to quality improvement, and applying best practices in respiratory therapy. You will also maintain and advance your clinical skills and may participate in committees, team initiatives, and approved research projects.

Qualfications
Graduation from a recognized Respiratory Therapy program.
Successful completion of the Health Professionals Testing Canada (HPTC) Credentialing Exam.
Eligible for membership with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) and the British Columbia Society of Respiratory Therapists (BCSRT).
Current valid BC Driver’s License.
