Position Summary
Ponderosa Lodge long-term care home has an immediate Casual Rehabilitation Assistant opening.
Joining us you’ll play a key role in carrying out rehabilitative treatment plans and programs and assisting Occupational Therapists and/or Physiotherapists in monitoring and evaluating patients/clients’ progression.
In this role, a Rehabilitation Assistant:
- Is empowered to operate at the top of their scope.
- Engages patients through consistent therapeutic interventions.
- Drives substantial progress in meeting patient needs and their rehab journey.
- Serves as an integral member of the rehabilitation team.
- Is relied upon as the eyes and ears of the rehab team, ensuring comprehensive care.

This is opportunity means hours may vary weekly and shifts may be at short notice. Casual employees receive an additional 13 percent of straight time pay, exclusive of all premiums, in lieu of scheduled vacations and statutory holidays.

Qualfications
Completion of a recognized Rehabilitation Assistant Program or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Valid Class 5 Vehicle License if applicable.
