Interior Health is seeking a reliable and flexible Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our Long-term Care team at Fisher Mill Place/Mill Site Lodge in beautiful 100 Mile, B.C.

About the Job:
The Registered Nurse:
• Provides nursing care to Long-term Care patients, both by working independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team
• Enhances quality of life for the patient and family; consults, confers, and collaborates with other health care providers
• Demonstrates continuous improvement and evidence based practice in nursing practice
• Maintains and advances own clinical competence
• Participates on designated hospital committees/teams and approved research projects as assigned

This is a permanent full-time opportunity.

Shifts of work will be scheduled days from 07:00 to 19:00.

Mill Site Lodge & Fischer Place, located in 100 Mile House, embodies a client-centered philosophy designed to support clients’ choices, help people function at their highest level, and provide the best quality of life possible. This facility has 79 private rooms, all equipped with ceiling lifts, and five short-stay beds, including one palliative care suite.

100 Mile House is situated in the scenic Cariboo region of British Columbia, brimming with serene beauty and a rich history. Outdoor enthusiasts can revel in a plethora of activities, from fishing and boating on nearby pristine lakes, such as Canim Lake or Horse Lake, to exploring lush forests teeming with wildlife. Qualfications
• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
• Post - basic education in gerontology an asset
