Position Summary
Kelowna General Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Casual Patient Registration Clerk to join their team in Kelowna, B.C.!
Hours of work are rotating Days, Evenings, Nights; 06:00 to 14:00, 06:30 to 14:30, 07:00 to 15:00, 08:00 to 16:00, 12:30 to 20:30, 13:00 to 21:00, 14:30 to 22:30, 22:30 to 06:30

What should your application include?
• A 5-minute typing test (45+ NWPM) from a recognized institution, completed within the past 48 months (non-supervised tests not accepted). Click here for testing details.
• A Medical Terminology Certificate
• Your Resume outlining two year’s recent related experience, Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience;
• A Cover Letter stating your availability to start in a new position and on-call, casual work (i.e. days of the week).
What will you work on?
The Patient Registration documentation and performs other related clerical duties. Identifies available bed booking options as requested. Provides information and directions to visitors and handles telephone inquiries such as patient room numbers and visiting hours. Responds to alarm panels by making announcements and/or telephone calls in accordance with the established procedures.

Qualfications
Education, Training and Experience:
Grade 12 plus 2 years’ recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Ability to type 45 wpm
Knowledge of medical terminology.
