Position Summary
We are hiring for a permanent part-time (0.67fte) Occupational Therapist in Penticton. This position is part of our community Quick Response Team based out of the Penticton Regional Hospital and Penticton Health Centre. Days of work are Thursday, Friday, every third weekend, plus two out of three Wednesdays. Shift times are: 09:00-15:30 and 09:00-17:00. This position requires a valid BC drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle.

About the position:
The Occupational Therapist works independently and as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary rehabilitation team, and may be providing a full range of occupational therapy services across inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community settings.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement therapy programs to promote functional independence and optimal health outcomes.
• Provide consultation, education, and support to clients and their caregivers.
• Prescribe and recommend appropriate equipment to enhance daily living.
• Participate in program planning, quality assurance initiatives, research, and departmental meetings.
• Offer guidance and work direction to rehabilitation assistants regarding transfer of function.

Qualfications
Graduation from a recognized occupational therapy program.
Full practicing registration as an Occupational Therapist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC).
Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists.
Valid BC Driver’s license.
