About the Job
In accordance with established vision and values of the organization and reporting to the Professional Practice Leader (PPL), this position is responsible for the direction, supervision, coordination, evaluation, planning and monitoring of the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) section in accordance with Interior Health Medical Imaging goals and directions. Acts as an expert clinical resource to staff and students working in the section.
In concert with the PPL directs the operation of the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) area. Provides input on budget initiatives, workload, strategic/tactical planning, labor relations, change management, patient safety, project management and human resources management. The incumbent is responsible in consultation with the key parties for interpreting and implementing all organizational regulations, policies and procedures as they apply to Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).

This is a Permanent Full Time (1.0) opportunity.

Shifts of work will be scheduled rotating days and evenings.

Qualfications
Graduate of an accredited medical radiological technology program and three years’ recent related experience within MRI including one year of supervisory/management experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).
Intravenous (IV) certification.
Current certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
