Position Summary
We have Permanent Part Time (0.85 FTE) opportunity for a Medical Radiography Technologist to join our Radiology team at the Shuswap Lake General Hospital (SLH) in Salmon Arm, BC.

The rotation of this position includes a mixture of days, evenings, weekdays and weekends. On Call required. The shift times for this position are 07:00 to 15:00, 07:30 to 15:30, 08:30 to 16:30, 09:30 to 17:30, 16:00 to 00:00, 08:00 to 16:00

Effective April 01, 2024, the hourly wage will be $36.69 to $45.81 per hour.

What Will You Work On?
The Medical Radiography Technologist performs radiographic/fluoroscopic, CT Scans and related duties working in conjunction with radiologists, physicians and other health care professionals. SLH is a busy facility located on the Trans-Canada Highway, capturing the needs of several surrounding communities. The Imaging Department at SLH has large, spacious diagnostic rooms in all departments. The department boast Digital Radiography in all rooms, including the portable. On site Radiologists allow for a wide variety of exams and interventional procedures. The majority of work is outpatient based, with approximately 40 percent on inpatients or emergency patients. The department operates from 07:30 - 23:30 seven days a week, with on call services after hours. SLH provides approximately 26,000 x-ray exams per year. This includes speciality procedures such as Fluoro, injections, biopsies, drainages and the OR.

Qualfications
• Graduate of an accredited medical radiography program.

• Current certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
