Position Summary
Interior Health is seeking an experienced Computed Tomography/Interventional Radiology Technologist to join the Medical Imaging team at Shuswap Lake General Hospital on a casual basis!

Casual employment means work requirements can vary between 0 and 37.5 hours per week. Work will be available on a short-notice, on-call bases and/or blocks of shifts pre-scheduled to relieve leaves of absences.

Shift types are days and evenings with the hours being 07:30 to 15:30, 08:30 to 16:30, 12:00 to 20:00 and 14:00 to 22:00

What Will You Work On?
Reporting to the Professional Practice Leader, and under the direction of a Radiologist, performs special procedures such as computer tomography (CT), and/or interventional, as designated. Assists the Radiologists during procedure, inputs patient specific data into the Radiology Information System (RIS) PACS and provides direction regarding procedures to student technologists and staff trainees.

As of April 1, 2024 - the new rate schedule for this position is $38.07 - $47.52

Qualfications
Graduate of an accredited medical radiography program plus successful completion of a recognized program such as Computer Tomography relevant to the designated specialty area.

Two (2) years recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Current certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
