ABOUT OUR CLIENT

Our downtown Toronto client is a start-up brokerage with ambitious goals to grow further and reform the insurance industry with their new ideas. Don’t be misled by the small size, they already won industry awards and competed with the big players without blinking an eye.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

As a new joiner, you will play a key part in the Commercial Lines Sales team. As part of their robust sales mentorship program, you will learn all the best practices and some groundbreaking new ones from the brightest minds in the business. After the first year, you will have the opportunity to spread your wings further and transform into a Producer, and later on to a Partner/Management role.

ABOUT THE POSITION

  • Demonstrating excellent telephone etiquette, cold calling prospective clients in the Greater Toronto Area
  • Participating in ongoing sales training and development to build a solid understanding of Commercial Insurance
  • Following up on leads and proactively generating new business prospects
  • Utilizing creative and unconventional sales practices to go above and beyond
  • Building a strong network and close relationship with small, mid-sized and large businesses
  • Analyzing clients' needs, advising and educating them on different policies
  • Providing tailor-made solutions to ensure your customers get the best possible coverages
  • Recording client information in our Broker Management and Sales Tracking Systems

THE REQUIREMENTS

  • Passion for Customer Service and Sales
  • Interest in learning what it takes to become a successful producer
  • Previous sales experience in a demanding, metric-driven environment
  • Genuine drive to build up a successful sales career in insurance
  • Driven, proactive attitude and strong willingness to learn
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Results-driven, attention to detail with excellent telephone etiquette

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • $40,000 - $50,000 base salary depending on previous experience + commission and performance bonus

  • Monday to Friday working hours 9:00AM - 5:00PM (no evenings or weekends!)
