M&E Project Manager

Mechanical & Electrical Project Manager working on low rise and high-rise mixed use residential projects in the GTA.

ABOUT OUR CLIENT

Our client is a Construction Management firm that has been working in the Toronto market for over 15 years and specializes in building mixed use high rise and residential construction projects. This is an office-based position in downtown Toronto and there are 22 staff based out of here.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Our client is looking for an M&E project manager to assist the other project managers regarding mechanical and electrical aspects of the project specifically regarding aspects such as budgeting, tendering, design submittals and change orders.

ABOUT THE POSITION

In this position you will be reporting to the managing directors of the company while working alongside Superintendents and Project Managers for each project. Your duties will include the following:

• Providing expertise in M&E planning and methodology
• Participating in and providing support to project design activities
• Developing a Monitoring and Evaluation plan
• Helping determine performance and impact indicators and targets.
• Providing support to proposal development for M&E components
• Implementing monitoring systems and designing monitoring tools
• Developing data collection tools
• Monitoring project activities, outputs, and progress towards anticipated results
• Working with data platforms, databases and select technologies to capture and organize data.
• Training field staff in monitoring and evaluation processes and providing ongoing coaching.
• Conducting or providing support to data quality assessments
• Developing monthly, quarterly or annual reports depending on project requirements
• Disseminating evaluation findings and project results to other stakeholders
• Managing external evaluation consultants and draft scopes of work

THE REQUIREMENTS

• Experience working as an M&E project manager with a General Contractor or Consultancy company preferred.
• Experience working on submittals, budgeting, design submittals, pricing, and full project life cycle.
• Mechanical or Electrical BA an asset
• Experience working on low- and high-rise residential towers an asset.
• Ambitious personality that works well as part of a close-knit team

COMPENSATION

• $100,000 - $140,000
• Health and Dental benefits package
• RRSP matching at 4%
• Annual Ski Trips
