Our client, a well-established and highly respected Vancouver law firm, is seeking a Class Action Paralegal to join its growing team. This is a unique opportunity to work on meaningful class action matters that have a direct impact on individuals across Canada. Unlike a traditional litigation paralegal role, this position focuses on guiding clients through the claims administration process following successful class action settlements. Responsibilities

  • Conduct client interviews and gather information for class action claims
  • Review claimant applications and supporting documentation
  • Determine claimant eligibility based on court-approved class definitions
  • Draft and prepare claims for submission
  • Guide clients through the claims process while providing exceptional customer service
  • Communicate regularly with claimants to obtain required documentation and information
  • Coordinate with external claims administrators throughout the claims process
  • Maintain accurate file records and database information
  • Collaborate with lawyers and internal team members to ensure files progress efficiently

Qualifications

  • Approximately 2-5 years of experience in a legal, claims, or client service environment
  • Experience in Class Actions, Mass Tort, Claims Administration, Immigration Law, Plaintiff Personal Injury, ICBC/MVA case management, or client intake is considered an asset
  • Foreign-trained lawyers are encouraged to apply
  • Paralegal diploma is an asset but not required
  • Exceptional communication and client service skills
  • Strong empathy, patience, and emotional intelligence
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software
