Description
Join a Highly Respected Boutique Litigation Firm. Impact Recruitment has partnered with a well-established boutique litigation firm in Downtown Vancouver to hire a Litigation Legal Assistant.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative team supporting a busy insurance defence practice while working alongside experienced legal professionals in a respected litigation firm.
Compensation
- $60,000-$70,000 annually, depending on experience

Responsibilities
- Manage litigation files from opening through closing
- Draft pleadings, application records, books of authorities, appeal records, and appeal books
- Prepare legal correspondence and other documentation
- File documents with court registries
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and third parties
- Maintain BF limitation dates and other critical deadlines
- Provide administrative support to a busy Partner and Associate
- Prioritize multiple deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum 3 years of litigation legal assistant experience, supporting at least 2 lawyers
- Legal Administrative Assistant (LAA) Certificate
- Strong civil litigation experience
- Knowledge of the BC Supreme Court Civil Rules
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word
- Willingness to work 5 days per week in-office during the first 3 months of probation
Preferred:
- Insurance Defence litigation experience
- Third-party Insurance Defence experience
- ICBC experience
- Experience with ProLaw
