We are currently seeking an Insurance Defence Associate with 5-8 years of experience to join their specialized team. The successful candidate will work on a broad range of complex insurance disputes, including coverage matters and specialty defence files. You will be entrusted with high-level responsibilities, managing files independently and playing a key role in court and out-of-court resolutions.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a varied caseload of insurance defence and coverage matters, including complex and specialty claims.
• Handle all aspects of litigation, including pleadings, discoveries, motions, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Provide strategic legal advice to clients on liability, risk, and coverage matters.
• Independently resolve legal issues, demonstrating strong judgment and initiative.
• Collaborate with senior lawyers on large-scale files and contribute to team strategy.
• Maintain and develop strong client relationships through excellent service delivery.

Qualifications:

• 5-8 years of insurance defence and/or insurance coverage litigation experience.
• Strong drafting, analytical, and file management skills.
• Ability to work independently with confidence and sound legal judgment.
• A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to think outside the box.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Superior work ethic and self-motivation.
