ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Corporate Actuarial Specialist , your responsibilities include reserving, ORSA, capital modeling across all lines of business. You will play a key role in ensuring the financial success of their insurance products through analysis and strategic partnership.

ABOUT THE POSITION

  • Develop and monitor risk management, reserving, capital modeling, liaise with senior management
  • Create and present actuarial reports
  • Lead and manage various projects
  • Mentor and coach junior team members

THE REQUIREMENTS

  • Academic background in actuarial science
  • Must have at least 5 years of experience in P&C actuarial
  • Demonstrated experience in IFRS 17 accounting standard, reserving and capital modeling
  • Progressing in CAS exams, Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) highly preferred
  • Proficiency in ResQ, Diva, or Igloo would be an asset

COMPENSATION

  • $130,000 - $150,000 base salary depending on experience + target bonus
  • Competitive health benefit plan starts from day 1, premium paid 100% by employer
  • Pension plan
  • 3-4 weeks paid vacation + flex days
  • Study program including merit increase, exam costs and study materials support
  • Option to work hybrid or fully remote anywhere from Ontario or Quebec
